Also, if you are in Vegas and was planning on joining us Sunday for the impromptu Steak 'N Shake Meatup, there has been a venue change. We are now meeting at the Cannery at 2121 (Irony?) Craig in North Las Vegas. Ended up meeting the Chief Development Officer for Steak 'N Shake when I was there this afternoon. Only 2 of the 4 locations in Vegas are taking Bitcoin due to Nevada Gaming Commission rules. The two locations that can't are casino-owned and operated and the NGC must approve them taking Bitcoin. She said they will have folks from corporate onsite Sunday as well as have swag. She sounded very excited and they will also have a booth at Bitcoin 2025 and plan to have some other announcements down the road? Maybe we could get a Bitcoin-themed menu item? That'd be cool. Grabbed lunch at Cannery Casino Steak ‘N Shake and paid in Bitcoin. Used FIAT to BTC send so no taxable event to deal with. Took literally 1 second to confirm via their tablet. I was Patient Numero Uno.

Embarrassing to see how few Bitcoiners stay current in the space. The "why would I spend my Bitcoin?" crew -- you can spend FIAT to BTC via @npub1ex7m...vyt9 and have been able to for years. Bet these are the same people that routinely say Lightning sucks or doesn't work.
