Yes, I'm a woman whose gone out to college, joined the workforce, worked to oblivion to earn a living, owns a business, financially independent. I say this because this is now becoming frowned upon for women? IDGAFWYT Then I also get to choose to do the stay-at-home mum, be a wife thing because I succeeded in the prior.

Throw in some gratitude with that humility. You can lose everything in a blink of an eye.

Can't win. Just do you.
Actually you do what you think is right. And your timeline is good. That matters a lot

Not real rules but general clusters of mediocrity that can't be given the same suggestions as people on nostr

People need to understand generalities. There's always an exception. What applies to most? A proverb is something that's true most of the time. A heuristic is something that generally works
"Success is a journey, not a destination. I appreciate the support, but I believe in lifting others up along the way. 🌟 #Positivity #Community"

Yup. In the end, "do whatever the hell you want" is the lesson, I think. It's funny, I'm not a woman so I don't deal with this exact paradox, but I am a people pleaser, so I know that general idea a little too well. I'm still trying to learn to do what I want.
When I quit my job to become "just a stay at home wife" all I ever got was do you have kids? why aren't you working? if you don't have kids, you should go get a degree and be a girl boss...I liked cooking food and making lunches and baking cookies for my husband to take to work. I felt bad about myself and less than until I quit social media. Women will make you feel bad for your choices, men will make you feel bad for your choices...especially if you're happy with your choices. It's almost like unhappy people don't like to see happy people πŸ€”. I am terribly happy for you and your family and the adventures you'll have πŸ«‚πŸ«‚
πŸ«‚πŸ«‚ I just wish I'd tuned out sooner than I did. So many people told us we'd be divorced within a few years of being married because we knew each other too long, that our kid was going to be awful because their kids were bad, the list goes on and on. Don't listen and keep on keepin on.
For real?? You got all that shit? πŸ«‚πŸ«‚ *Sigh* The internet is filled with unhappy dissatisfied people. It's like a cult. You have something many wish to have, especially the haters. Let them hate. They're ugly. πŸ˜„ I do love the harmony I notice between you and cheese. I'm just a witness to the online banter and I love it!!
That was irl people πŸ˜‚. They're all working on spouses 3 or 4 now I guess, they faded away. Thank you for saying that ☺️. We're friends, which a lot of married people can't say. Talk to your fella about everything, nothing should be off the table...physical or mental things going on, talk about that shit. It's poison if you keep it in. Both our parents have been married over 50 years and they are all so miserable and don't like their spouses, we chose to not be them.

No one in my circles is frowning upon your path. They are also celebrating the path of working to oblivion as a full time homemaker and mother as well though. Most men celebrate both paths, it’s other women who seem to want to define what is β€œbetter” for everyone and chew each other up.

Its nearly impossible to have large families and for women to work. This is showing true everywhere and birth rates are collapsing.
Overcorrecting reactionaries are just collectivists of a different stripe. Other side of the socialist coin, can never process the existence of the self-determining *individual* of which you are one. Congratulations on the new baby!
