Opensats is asking for a “refund” because i didn’t send a final report to their fraudulent organization. Pretty insane.

Someone should tell that Bitcoin company that Bitcoin is non-refundable.
The thick plottens. How much are they asking back? How often did they ask for the final report that you certainly sent to the wrong email address?

Dorsey needed a 501(c)(3) entity between him and his gimp.
Grant agreements can be pretty extensive. They probably reserved their right to claw back funds. I certainly prefer out of the blue anonymous donations over grants ;)
Can’t you just send a report that says: I did the thing and the other stuff ✌️and call it a day, if you accidentally sneeze towards one of your agents it might do it for ya 😆

Does that mean the government can claw back the tax exemptions they used with those disbursements?
I don’t want any more money from that org. The fact they say want the money back now is insane
This sounds like a case of: - forgot to send it; or - wasn't received and some vibe coded automated process panicked Just contact them and resolve it, doesn't seem worth any public drama.
Because the tags not theirs to be sent back but the relay operator. If they gonna refund, they must refund me.
This is coming from an organization where their board members who call me to threaten me, im going to assume the worst because its usually the case
But then they have to refund all of the tags that went through the pipes to coins and cashed out. August to August. image
Honestly i wonder how many laws they are breaking by doing shit like that. Probably another reason they got rid of nvk.
refunds over missing paperwork is a new one for grant land. did they flag the report gap before clawing back, or is this the first you heard of it?
aren’t they the number one Bitcoin foundation and are very respected, what is the deal with them? would love to read more about that. maybe you should do a long-form post
people were saying i was dramatic and whiney about nvk but i turned out to be right there. i'm sure people will keep saying i'm dramatic because they have a hardon for odell for some reason. the fact that people keep sending money to this org while odell is in charge is amazing to me. dude should be in jail.
Why don’t you just send a final report? Seems like a pretty low bar.
No. They are not. Never have been. It started as a money laundering scheme and has stayed that way. No. The only people that respect that group are the ones mentioned in the next section of this reply. They are all nutswingers and ballgarglers. Will has documented much of what's been going on for a long time, in between his own moral failings.

Just generate it with an LLM , they'll pay for tokens
Interesting. I’ve seen people saying that, but where is the actual evidence of them laundering money? So far I’ve only seeing people accusing them of all sorts of things.
Not sure if this is related. Their /report endpoint is vulnerable. So, anyone can send emails from receipts@opensats.org to anyone. image
They are opaque with everything. That's the problem. They have been violating their incorporation agreement, to my understanding, by being so opaque about how much money has come in, how it is decided to be distributed, and the specific public minutes of their meetings. Most of that is simple legal accountability requirements. I don't care much about legalities, but I do care about transparency. They have thrown money around at the most confounding and unproductive projects and people while only proving crumbs to projects and people that would be a actual benefit to TNP and the world in general. My only conclusion is that this can only be a means to move money into certain people's pockets while trying to farm goodwill Fromm the ignorant.
