Not yet? The last time Rabble and I spoke he mentioned that at some point it may come. But technically speaking creators could still post on Divine and then use another app to add a Lightning address get Zapped. It would just take some education. Though, I don't think that would be good UX and I'd rather see what Rabble has cooking. Perhaps it's Cashu Zaps where the Cashu tokens are backed by a real bank ๐Ÿ‘€
Cool glad you're asking about and he's thinking about it... I'm genuinely curious because it seems like they're going down the route of a more traditional social media experience that just runs on the "Nostr rails", and one of the "moats" that I think Nostr will ultimately have if it ever gets into a position where it can compete with centralized social media is precisely the decentralized monetization model... So my concern is if DiVine has to "be the bank" so to speak that comes with a whole can of worms...
In terms of "Nostr rails" I'd say that they are absolutely doing that and I think that its great. It showcases the versatility of the protocol.

Here's our own press release on the launch and partnership, with a quote from our own @jack "Open protocols give people greater control over their identity and content instead of locking them into a single platform. That foundation matters if we want a more open social internet and a future where creators have real ownership over what they build," said Jack Dorsey.
Yeah we don't want to be the bank, and we don't want to be centralised social media. One of the things we're doing with the launch is from the start documenting and helping folks who want keep using the app, and nostr, beyond just the divine relays and blossom servers. You can see our first stabs at it with divine.video/exit
Dude they're seeing npubs. That's basically seeing an @ and a .com and. Don't be dumb. My parents have been using email for 30 years and have never heard of SMTP.
Thanks for the clarification. This gets at a central tension I've been thinking about, how educated do you think the user base is to what's actually going on in terms of the decentralized network, etc? Because I see a lot of people here on Nostr say we just need to make ourselves more "normie friendly" by never talking about Zaps, never talking about relays and decentralization and all of that... But then if the user doesn't know about any of that stuff, the presumption by both users (and in turn regulators) is just going to be that this is like any other app... I.e. "Why can't you just ban that guy like on Instagram?"
Cool idea! Would you mind creating a feature request for it via the app? Profile page>Settings(gear icon, top left)>Support Center>Request a Feature That guarantees itโ€™ll land in my queue to assign/implement. TY! ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ˜‡
The primary reason, I mention is because Primal connect doesnโ€™t seem to work for me. I was thinking of utilizing Nostr Connect to see if that one would work. Do you have the link for Nostr Connect please, & then if it works Iโ€™ll submit the idea properly ๐Ÿ™.
