there's always gonna be disagreements because of the claims of ownership of the unownable intangible called "bitcoin" and certain people on all sides have had their hands in dirty places on both sides. i am not going to be kind to either side's rascals but it's too tedious to keep on pointing out that the pile of energy that got burned on the original chain is always going to make any secondary chain second best. but nostr is not a blockchain, it's a distributed database system that has transactions called "events" and there is no consensus and no consensus can solve most of the problems that nostr has. anyone can have a crack at figuring out ways to do it, even to fork it like carvalho did by trying to use mainline as a binding point for identities in a nostr-like protocol. i also have my own ideas about how to improve nostr and they are in a similar vein and by similar principles to how i think bitcoin should be aligned and my arguments for it are based on many years of watching all the bunfights between different factions and projects not just bitcoin forks but also all the pBFT derivatives and other novel variants like mimblewimble and avalanche and others. nostr is just a medium, and one that we can take literal ownership of our piece of it. it's not a money, it's a channel.
