Ok #asknostr - has anyone successfully gotten a merchant to turn on Square bitcoin payments? My understanding is they flip a switch in their dashboard. Is there any friction other than that?

I’ve successfully gotten a local food truck where I live to accept bitcoin, I was his first transaction. I e failed multiple times as well. There’s more friction than just a switch. It took him a few minutes. Another vendor at a farmers market was interested and tried but failed saying that she needed to input her ein # and didn’t have it on her.
Right so i think its verification + flipping the switch
On the runtime failure side it may be your fault for not making sure you have outbound to Squares node. Square should definitely have a service that helps you figure out how much you can push to a merchant lol
There was no problems with the payment side of things as far as lightning/channels/liqudity?
Do you know for sure you have outbound that can reach the c= node?
Get these bolt NFC cards. Easy and quick onboarding. Load them via cash app etc....

They can accept Bitcoin without an app or an internet connection!
Its hard enough to get disinterested Normies to accept it thru square and we are discussing how to make that easier. Wrong time wrong place.
