It is up! Why does the call feature ask for location?
Wen Ios

Calls seem to be in dms with specific npub. It asks me for location though??
Amazing. Chromecast support will make tidal waves.
I like Amethyst but this feels like cluttering.
The goal of Amethyst is to have literally everything
It is a desktop app right ?
I can see that, but careful with that goal because more often than not enshittificate things. Wish you success nonetheless.
Yep. It's a lot of work to keep everything with a good quality.. we will see if it will break us or not.
Nests is Media over Quic and Video and Voice calls are regular WebRTC.
Yes... But that was our goal all along. The point of Amethyst was to literally code everything. I just couldn't do it before AI.
What a list, hope it’s easy to deliver
Ah, okay.
Private payments / tips?
Does that mean I have to have location on to use the call feature?
If so is there a way to approve it if I chose no before?
Hum.. no I need to check whats going on with that permission request.
So i tapped no and if I tap the phone or video icon in a dm it doesn't do anything.
I think it was asking for Bluetooth permission. Claude is telling me that nowhere in the video/call code we ask for any type of location permissions... Investigating..
Pop up on graphene asking for approximate location
How to install the desktop version?
Weird..
It popped up twice on 1.09.0 but hasn't been presented as an option on 1.09.1
What is supposed to happen when phone icon is tapped?
Are their conditions that the other user must have for anything to occur?
It should ask permissions to find Bluetooth devices, manage phone calls, and use the camera.
Not getting those requests in graphene on 1.09.1
Nothing happens when tapping icons
But I had refused on prior version
Apparently libwebrtc asks for location permissions directly.. seeing if I can disable it
Thank you all so much for not being wisp.
> everything
but reach
Wen playstore?
Feels like Amethyst is the "fuck it we'll add it" app to see how things go, and other devs benefit from observing it to see what can be learned from it so that they'd better make solid decisions for their own app x3
Yep, it has always been. We have been Nostr's test bed for more than 3 years now. :)
Can you make amethyst a nostr code editor so I can run pi on my desktop controlled from my phone?
Could be cool to like phone to desktop
I'm confused, the updates mention desktop but the website doesn't.
In a few days
You can clone amethyst locally, vibe-code it, and host it as an nsyte if you want. I've been doing that with a few projects that aren't updated as much as I'd like.
And you can use nostr-vpn to connect to it from your phone!
