Way to go joe. Getting through training to the starting line is a win. Getting to the Finish Line is another win. Enjoy, the speed will come when the injuries disappear. Currently rehabilitating my knee and spending the summer biking. Will restart triathlons in a year or two

Yeeeeoooooo πŸ€™ πŸ€™ Proud of myself. Completed the full triathlon yesterday in a decent enough time. I could have pushed the swim harder but the Australian thing where you go in and out the water segment totally goosed me. Swallowed loads of water and took an elbow to the neck straight after lol. I pushed the bike a bit too hard but I wanted to - and it was fun! Cruising at 45km/h+ with the tailwind section was a rush. I went easy on the run to protect my foot. It gave me grief after10km so I popped a painkiller and cracked on. I reckon I will just have to dig deep and grind out the iron man marathon segment in 3 weeks. Kinda terrified, kinda excited. Primal is not letting me upload photos rn but I did the full 100km in 4 hours 16 2k swim 80k bike 18k run View quoted note β†’
