investor of primal just protecting his investment, i guess that involves making memes to discredit someone just telling the truth 🙄
Any plans to improve the UX of Damus in the future?
Have you tried damus android? I built the fastest client from the ground up that is completely decentralized and works on all platforms.
We are bringing this tech back to ios, but apple currently is preventing us from publishing new versions so we are working with azteco to get sats purchases in so we can get on the AppStore again.
I use Damus on iOS from time to time. My issue was never with speed. Let’s see if you can spot the differences between these screens:

Both TestFlight and App Store versions are blocked from publishing new versions? 👀
i can't. what are we supposed to be noticing?
Testflight isn’t blocked, we have a large refactor change (local relay via nostrdb) that we have been testing internally that we want to push out soon, but it has been too unstable to make a proper testflight.
@Daniel D’Aquino is close to getting this out.
This will also include a new thing called “damus labs”. Which are experimental features that you can enable like live streaming. Stay tuned!
Excellent! Thanks for the update
Idk, maybe the much more and better looking features? Like the app is designed for actual humans living in 2025?
I literally do not see noticeable differences. all the screenshots show profiles and notes and decently laid out buttons and menus to do what you have to do.
If you're talking about being willing to sacrifice decentralization upon the altar of a few pixels worth of design, then you'll be in good company with the vast, vast crowd of the history of networked society's most infuriating and useless speed bumps.
No offense
> If you're talking about being willing to sacrifice decentralization upon the altar of a few pixels worth of design
How are “few pixels worth of design” stopping decentralisation exactly? Sounds like an excuse for lazy development. Also a thing you devs need to get through your heads at some point is that permissionless tech =\= permissionless adoption. Start building products for users, optimised for their needs/wants/expectations, instead of appealing to their understanding of what’s under the hood. Decentralisation means little without users showing up for it. No offence.
users will enjoy decentralization at the price they deserve
Decentralization isn’t a blank cheque for lazy design.
I'm gonna be honest, I tried damus android and I was very excited for it, but it was unusable garbage. I used it for a bit and tried to write a review of it and couldn't even do that.
And to be honest, the UI is terrible and feels like Apple design team made it but with half the IQ.
Even though I'm not a massive fan of that type of UI, yakihonne does it way better and has become my 2nd client after amethyst.
definitely needs ux work, this was just the first release
nostr is bleeding $1m a month. or more.
nostr will enjoy users at the price it deserves.
Should be obvious that without a certain number of users all of this is for nothing.
Is Damus Android open source? I couldn't find it on GitHub.
