What bothers you precisely ?
It seems to be a mix for me. Yeah, it can become an excuse, but the parts really are wearing out and I have to take it easier in some ways than I used to. Things "tweak" or strain a little easier. Bad decisions are catching up too, no doubt. Like I simply can't do some of what I could at 18-20. Just a fact. But that doesn't mean I can't be the best I can with what I have. Agree with that mentality.
That turning 30 means you lose all of your strengths and tolerances. Can't eat the same foods, can't consume alcohol, gain weight uncontrollably, need a half-bottle of aspirin just to move in the morning. You just can't do anything about it, your just fat, in pain, and tired all the time.
Yeah maybe it's different for me, I've never really been an athlete between until the most recent few years never really in shape as a child until my mid 20s. I had times like my time in construction where I was more in shape as a teenager, but still not where I'm at now. I still have about 10% more fat to lose. I'd like to be "skinny" and "in-shape" sometime before I die XD
My dear friend, I know it is painful. Your body is not what youβve known all your life.
No one can stop the decay that comes inevitably with time, but why do you think you canβt do anything about it ?
i hardly didn't even notice until i hit 40 that i was slowing down haha. then i ground to a halt at 45, because i got very sick. i'm coming out of it now, and experience substitutes a lot for strength. and you can still be flexible, that's something i find easier to keep than strength also, since it isn't so much bound to hormone levels.
I'm rebelling against this narrative. I don't feel this way :)
Ah wonderful !
You cannot imagine how happy I am to have misunderstood what you meant !!
Thank you for your compassion though, it's highly appreciated.
No black pill around here! ... most of the time :)
π«π«
I'm crawling toward 45.
Iβm glad youβre coming out of it. Growing old is the way life. And thereβs a wisdom in it, but I deeply refuse that we just wither away when we grow old. If so, then we were never really alive !!
Yes we have less energy than before, we will not go gently into that good night !!
that's why old bastards are grumpy
Yes, you donβt look it !!
If they make up for it by being wise, Iβll take it π
Feel it, tho. π
Weβll have to do something about that !!
Maybe some bone marrow will have you feeling 40 again π
it's an essential part of survival. you use what you got.
This is the way.
Wait till you hit 50 lol
Not at all. I totally thought she was in her 30's.
I'm 47 and feel great, except I can't run marathons anymore and my knees get sore sometimes.
Alcohol is a known preservative.
We never doom !!
i think it's other genetics in this case tho
except i have this in common and also only just started to look a bit old in the last 3 years
marathons are overrated. sore knees come from doing high impact exercise like running or skateboarding
but joint problems are a sign of autoimmune problems as well, though also from scarring. i have both, and i'm 49.
this is only 9 months away for me
XD
Best of luck.
