Those 377k followers were actually only 50k real users and the rest were bot accounts. Twitter is mostly bots, Musk doesn't care as long as they pay.

Dave - If this is a significant source of revenue for you, it may be worth setting a time frame of 3-6 months and transitioning your existing subscribers to new medium.
I left Twitter (and I miss FinTwit a little—just about five content creators), but I feel YouTube is going to be much harder. I would say stay on YouTube but bring your micro-blogging to Nostr. And encourage your viewers to contact you through Nostr.
If people were honest they would admit to knowing that majority of those “people” are troll farms. Am I really the only one who recognized this within weeks upon joining twitter? Not the brightest crayon 🖍️ in the box but it was all so obvious.

Right now Flare.pub isn't a priority for me. I'd be happy to merge PRs if others are looking to contribute though!
Thanks, Jeff, for taking the time to reply; I really appreciate the advice, and I have seen you many times in many different videos. I always enjoy hearing your thoughts on Bitcoin and other related topics. YouTube is NOT my main source of revenue, but I have 145K subscribers that I'd like to drag here. I usually only share 5 minute clips of my lessons to YouTube, as they function as adverts for the courses I sell on my website (and other marketplaces). I have just subscribed to Primal, so I plan to lure my YouTube subs here by offering much longer classes exclusively on Nostr. The subscription allows me to upload larger media files.
YouTube helps me find buyers for my courses, so it doesn't fund me directly. I want to continue with YouTube, but offer more on Nostr and less on YouTube, thereby encouraging my subscribers to follow me here. I give away 5% of my courses on YouTube as adverts, but I think I could give 10% or 20% away on Nostr. I also want to start accepting Bitcoin payments for my courses, and Nostr seems like a good place to find Bitcoin customers (Courses will be £20 for fiat, but £10 for my Bitcoin brothers).

so tired of being rugg-pulled. with Nostr I feel like I can finally have control of my social presence without fearing policy changes. now we need to make this bad boy mainstream 🧡
I really enjoy nostr. I created a twitter account a year or so ago, but I haven't used it at all. I just like the whole small-town feel of nostr. It's so peaceful, and a good way to learn some new things as I start another day. Thank you, Jeff!

We'll just drag the users over one by one. A few more profiles like @1984 and @Ian Carroll more users will soon create an identity on Nostr.
