There's no other alternatives, signal maybe but it's still bad and new

I wouldn't say Signal is new. What's bad?
signal is tiny compared to whatsapp, if signal has the same amount of userbase then it would be full of spam too, it's garbage just like whatsapp,
south america / europe got oneshotted by it

Signal is very clean, just make sure to run it with Google Play Services
