Happy Friday!!! and great news to start your day. Apple allowed us to keep the zap button on posts. This is a huge win for entire nostr community..! Current App will be on the App Store with 1 click zap on posts. Expect an updated app this weekend, with details on its functionality. Stay tuned!

curious of the behind-the-scenes discussion, and what was the explanation that allowed you to keep them?
Because it’s up to the whims of which ever reviewer you happen to get
Thanks for your support. Apple has walled 1B+ users and we cannot get Bitcoin and nostr to billion people if we don’t have the presence there. I saw this comment in stacker news and it stuck with me for a while "I was never a big fan of Apple, however I do have a mobile that I used mainly due to convenience." I think this summarizes lots of bitcoiners who use iPhone.

I don't think eBay or Paypal pays Apple 30% of money transferred either. It's not a commercial relationship between app(company) and user but P2P. I don't see why they could charge it.
That’s the whole reason why Damus had to remove note zaps, because Apple wanted the 30% tax on the zaps
compliance bros in disbelief SATS are now in-app tokens and Apple is getting a cut when someone buys SATS and zaps a note on the Lightning Digital Entertainment app, what is actually happening here?
That’s not exactly true. Sats purchases are real sats inside current wallet and can be transferred to any other Lightning wallet. We will release all the details next week
sounds good, hope Apple updates 3.1.1 soon so other iOS apps know how to proceed if this actually holds, this change could be a BFD for every iOS app

For sure i think its great you offer this now. Apple is allowing zaps because this will help them make money it seems though. So their willing to let zaps slide.
Apple allowed you to keep the zap button for now, give them a week or two and Apple will probably change their mind.
