Sounds cool!
Wowow love this idea!
Cool. Wild guess is the investment takes 2,5 years go mine the btc back with it.
That's alright
More of this!!

if I was an unscrupulous plumber, I'd put these in everyone's heaters and not tell them... if i was unscrupulous, that is.
Are you a good person because you wouldn't do such a thing, or a bad person because you thought of it?
Dang near the cost of a water heater itself!
His many tera hashes?
Interesting idea. I would probably prefer to use a bunch of them in a hydronic heating system. 600w is basically nothing in a water heater.
Lol its a start but not enough th...

yes.
This is cool! I have played with the idea, but did not think that the miner itself could have this shape.
Landed just right to pitch a nocoiner friend the antithesis of "bitcoin = energy-wasting nonsense" in a fucking fuuuuun way. Hahahahaha. I like the stranded energy argument more and rate it stronger, but he started comparing it with thermal home heating. 🤣🤣🤣
h/t @Kräftig for discovery by your boost. PV 🫂
The physics checks out. A miner converts nearly 100% of its wall power straight to heat, so it warms water just like a dumb resistance element, with mining rewards on top. For sizing, watts times 3.412 gives BTU per hour, so 1400 W puts about 4777 BTU into your tank.
Ooohhh that looks promising! Reminds my of the Superheat thing tbh
