Short Answer: No Long Answer: Pixels are currently the only phones meeting basic security requirements while also providing proper alternate OS support. There are other phones doing one or the other but not both. We want to support other devices but we aren't going to accommodate a massive security downgrade. In most casrs those devices don't meet basic security requirements which is why we don't support them due to the purpose of GrapheneOS being providing a highly private and secure mobile device.
Thank you for the long answer. Was just curious cause would have thought that at least the guys from fairphone would have thought about this. what would be your advise for someone that cant afford a pixel?
The current amount of #privacy respecting #android #roms is something to behold. You no longer need a flagship #pixel device to #degoogle so you better start ASAP. Just go thru the supported devices list of these projects and you will surely find a very cheap device to begin already. You night even have one forgotten in some drawer! - #calyxos - #divestos - #eOS - #grapheneos - #iodeOS - #lineageos View quoted note β†’
