Elon resorting to overt censorship and algo manipulation because he was getting ratio’d will be looked at as the mask off moment.

What exactly happened I am still on X and I do follow Elon but I guess I missed this amid his H1B BS or was it part of that. I know the algo thing he stated about blue checks blocking accounts making them have less reach was recent but it isn't new. This was literally the case since the paid option was introduced.

He lashed out to resolve a personal emotional reaction to the H1B debate. Humans can't be trusted with power.

The sheep are willfully retarded. If they think he’s been leading a free speech platform up until now, this certainly won’t change their mind.

Wow I thought it’s only me that thinks Elon is a fake guru / false prophet / scammer. It’s hard to see the light through the ocean of Elon’s fanboy troglodytes on X. Thank God, I joined Nostr, I feel more sane now.

That is what brought me to this app today. Cleaned up my profile and ready to find frens in here. Let’s connect.
This one was a great note, back then many came to the same conclusion. It's such a disengenious move by him especially because you "voluntary" sign up to it, it's just that you are unable to grow your account and create reach without it. Not to talk about the data processing firm, which opens a dark rabbit hole
At that level they all are, their interests are the state interests
Lol full billionaire mode! Still sounds like a twat even if unlike csw has the money!

He basically downgraded a bunch of MAGA accounts like Laura Loomer, who were against his pro H1B visa stance. Idk, in-fighting political bs, with a bit of censorship

It's so funny to watch it play out. He's such a free speech LARP
Libertarianism is very nice in theory, and great in practice for cantillionaires seeking to leverage people around the world against each other. Elon and Vivek have now managed to unite the left and right against the parasitic, libertarian cantillionaires. This is good.

That’s great. I’m really detached from SM, no fb, no insta for a year or more now. I have LinkedIn for professional purposes and people there pump their fists on evey fart Elon makes.
that's awesome, those are huge steps 🙏 the hardest was definitely linked in... that was a fucking celebratory day.
after election I figured I'd pay for the check mark on Twitter as a thanks for the help. canceled thet today and i am glad I did the monthly plan instead of annual ... probably my subconscious knew it wouldn't last
It’s fascinating to see more people starting to piece together the bigger picture. The connections between Musk’s ventures and government dependencies are hard to ignore. SpaceX operating almost entirely on military contracts, Tesla leaning heavily on green subsidies, and the broader alignment with the *Great Reset* vision aren’t just coincidences—they’re patterns. For many, the moment Musk resorted to censorship and algorithmic manipulation on Twitter was a turning point, a “mask off” moment that revealed more about control than innovation. It’s no surprise that people who once supported his platforms are now stepping away, questioning the motives and sustainability of what they once believed in. This growing awareness is a reflection of the cracks in centralized systems—propped up by subsidies and influence rather than genuine transparency or resilience. As more people wake up to these realities, the shift toward decentralization and self-sovereignty feels not just necessary but inevitable.

Elon's best skill is getting people to work for him and kiss his ass.
Twitter is trying to find a way to handle raising good content to the top without having a way to game the system. The same challenge Nostr has and will continue to have over time.

Best thing about Bitcoiners/Nostr users is that they don’t just follow the line. You’ve been supportive of some things of his in the past but call out his bullshit when he pulls it. Thats something in general I like about this group of people.
