Very interesting listening to that. At the end he explains why he doesn't think Bitcoin is worth anything.
I can't wait to see him understand it. He seems far off at the moment, but everyone wakes up eventually.
He also says bitcoin is a worthless tulip bubble and that he’s held gold since pre-2008. My guy has not over-performed the market…
Yeah.. he will HFSP.
Yeah made me laugh hard when he gives his opinion about it..
I mean, I struggle so much with those people that can't just say, I don't have an opinion as I didn't study it.
For example, Steve Eisman, the other giy of The Big Short, older than him, also hasa pod (very very good, I suggest it to you) and he instead has the humbleness to say, I don't get crypto, I own some in case, but I don't know much, and he does make question about it. Differences..
Yeah I got the strong impression that Michael, as he literally said, spends a majority of time in his own head. He doesn't speak much with others and probably seldom with anyone near or above his IQ.
As a result he has a pretty narrow and frankly irrational worldview in my opinion.
A. Doesn't want the fed to exist. (Correct)
B. Thinks they shouldn't reduce rates. (Correct)
C. Thinks Bitcoin is entirely worthless. (Blind spot)
Good luck accomplishing A while holding on to C. I imagine he knows the fed will reduce rates because the incentives will force them to. Bitcoin will run higher and he will be forced to reform his opinion.
Also now that he's publicly expressed his opinion on BTC (again) more people will be out to orange pill him. He might be a one trick pony tbh. He kind of said so himself in the pod.
Very well said and articulated sir, I do agree with you, and yes he mentioned more times himself as being "on the spectrum".
I don't blame him to not get point C, he never needed to actually have to seat and learn about it, and again like you mentioned now very likely someone next to him that has some influence and studied bitcoin himself has more chance to be found and so lead him to understand fundamentals.
Right. People inside the system have no real need for considerations outside that system. As long as the system continues to feed them.
He's largely extracted himself from wallstreet as well because he knows we are going to go through a massive shit show period sooner or later.
He thinks it'll be in the next two years. I would agree with that. It feels like things are coming to a head.
The guy interviewing him seems like the most likely to be able to orange pill him tbh. Based on the way he asked the question I think he's already found the orange pill; maybe just doesn't have as much conviction as you or I would in that conversation.
Scalped this ticket looooong ago. Let it happen soon
