Every influencer participating in twitter's new social credit score system provided: + Name + Email + Home Address + Phone Number + Social Security Number + Bank account Number + W2/tax certification + Stripe account (additional KYC)

Let's not forget the contacts you share when using the mobile app. The social graph is a valuable asset and allows for fine tuned profiling.
The way things are trending, you might eventually need to KYC when creating a gmail. They’ll say it has something to do with AI. More freedom tech please!
@npub15dql...lm5m did not have a terrible idea about making people pay for a checkmark on Twitter, but Michael’s idea was to pay with lightning. Musk could have easily implemented that, but he chose to centralize everyone’s data and connect that to every word someone says.

Which of these items have not been provided by users of custodial wallets?

AFAIK the bank account number can fully KYC you as per assumption the bank already has your passport so with one transaction you "validate your identity".
Fuck that noise. They should be over here. I’m questioning their dedication to the cause.. 🤔

Shout-out to myself!! (For not participating)
Bets on when Marty ‘accidentally’ signs up for the new influencer credit score system?
The influencers do all that for KYC bitcoin. They obviously don't give a shit.
The fact that “influencers” aren’t intelligent enough to realize how unnecessary and invasive that is, is the scary part. The people who are being looked up to are sheep.

@ODELL Really, it's a serious question to you. How much difference is there between handing all your information to x, and using a mainstream LN wallet?

Nostr hasn’t asked me for my name or email? How do I reset my password if I lose it? 😂 jk.

Oddly, the more that platform asserts social pressure the quicker and more acutely the signal will propagate where no such pressure exists.
isnt this already „normal“ in the normy land? „You need my street?“ - „no problem Sir, maybe with my personal id“?

I'd love an RHR only with you as host. Just saying.
I’m as paranoid as the next person — more so probably — and I want everyone to extricate themselves to the greatest extent practicable from the legacy systems. But why is this sensitive information to give to Twitter when the government (the most invasive entity with which we interact) has it already? In other words, if I were currently anonymous to my government — and no one knew where I lived or kept my fiat currency — I would never even consider sharing it with Twitter. But my info is everywhere at this point, so what’s the argument against letting Twitter have it in order to get paid and stack more sats? And BTW — I bought a blue check for two months to test it out, and then canceled it because I felt my reach was *still* being throttled, and there was no transparency around it.
Same people will accept CBDC's with open arms. Their total & utter apathy is a huge advantage for the government.
I’m sure it will be. But I really want to hear the case for why I shouldn’t re-buy the check, enhance my reach and make more $. I am not doing it now because I don’t want to reward those assholes for administering the public square. But what’s the downside once your info’s out there and you are already posting under your real name?
My only concern with the masses is, if most people let this shit happen, won't this make our, who would like to opt out, harder or impossible? Can we make ourselves detached from the masses?
Isn't this a lot even for the average brain-dead normie? I just read 2 minutes ago, it was too hard for a normie to save a #Nostr private key, but providing all this information is easy? Why normies mad?
Because giving away that information has been normalised, private keys have not been yet It sucks because it is easy to onboard and join Nostr, but it is not normal

Data ist the new Goldstandard. Take care of your gold or they take it from you.
when you buy a check and use X, you trade your money, time, and liberty to be under someone else’s control
The fact that this is not illegal proves that the government hates the people.
