Listened to the Bitcoin Today twatter space with Keonne Rodriguez on the Samourai Wallet case today. For me, everything boils down to the fact that the SDNY ignored FinCEN's ruling that Samourai was not a money transmitter. The fact that it did not end there tells me this was just more Biden-era lawfare against the Bitcoin slash crypto slash digital asset industry. You can tuck this in right next to the Operation Chokepoints, the assassination of Silicon Valley Bank, and the other egregious actions the Government has levied against the industry. The facts never mattered here. In any of these things. This is abhorrent abuse of the justice (sic) system against our citizens. Especially when you realize that violators in the tradfi realm get menial fines and a slap on the wrist. "For liberty and justice for all." -- Absolute bullshit.

They did not feel they could win with the stacked deck. 5 years is better then 20. From the sidelines I can say I would have held out, but I was not there or in their shoes.
So you would have fought knowing your families assets would have been taken and liquidated? The property of his wife and parents were put up for bail and thus tied from what he stated today. Granted you could argue that was a tactical error but once done it was too late.
