pv 🤙 What's your favourite username? If you fancy a short link to your Nostr profile, iris .to /username links are now available 💫 They are also handy for searching nostr users if you know the user's Nostr address (username@iris.to). Visit the FAQ and video for details: and go get yours (iris .to on Settings menu) ✨ Did we mention they are free but you cannot change it so what's your fav username 😁 #nip05 #nostraddress #username #nip5 #irisaddress #irislink

Love my profile name! This is quite a treat by Iris, thanks Martti
Looks like a Brave issue, it shows up on Firefox. On brave it will let me register it over and over again. On Firefox it shows me it's already registered and it shows on my profile.
I changed nostr.json?name=user not found error code to 418 so CF doesn't cache it. But maybe it should return code 200 with empty {"names":{}}? I wonder how others do it.
#[0] あーこれ、NIP-05認証をiris.toにもできるという事だったのね😳
You can use the username as a short link to your profile outside of Nostr: iris.to/mattoso NIP05 is just extra feature of the username. You can use it or use some other NIP05 if you have many.
I ask because I created a username on iris and then changed the NIP-05 address on my profile and my previously registered iris.to/username was said to be "available" when I opened iris.to from a "new" browser and tried to register it again with a "new" private key.
I did not finish the process from the new key as I didn't want to lose my username but I typed it and it was said to be available.
Could you try again and maybe refresth the browser / quit the app? Could be a cache issue since we did some changes earlier today.
pv 🤙 You can register your iris. to / username (e.g. iris.to/iris) that's a short and easy way to link to your nostr profile. See the detais below. 🤙 🤙 🤙 What are your thoughts on channels and different types of use cases in the future? #[0] #[1]
If you haven't logged in on Iris for a while now you have a good reason. Register a free Iris username that is easy to share outside of nostr. It works as a NIP05 identifier as well. Some of you may have your current nostr username as a pre-reserved but it will expire early next month if you don't claim it. image
You can't post this a day after I've spent 12.5k sats on NostrPlebs Nip05 😥, but good implementation! I don't see the iris.to menu on configurations yet. Do I have an old version? I'm using Iris on PC
Try to refresh cntrl+R or access directly: iris.to/settings/iris_account image
PV ☀️ followers 🤙 zap features 🤙 relay count 🤙 FAQ 🤙 Iris usernames ☀️ What's your take on the follower count? Should we remove it entirely? #[0] Your follower count on Iris may seem lower than on other clients. Iris rejects events from authors that your social network has not interacted with. You get way less spam and your follower count number is lower for the same reason. ⚡️⚡️⚡️ Thanks for all the comments to our requests for feature ideas and best practises for zapping. You can still jump in and share your brilliant ideas and concerns. #[1] What's the proper amount of relays? Iris account runs well between 7-13 active relays. ❓❓❓ Any questions❓ 👉 See the or use the search box for already answered questions. Get your iris .to / username if you haven't already. The shorter names go first. #[2]
Is it possible to transfer the username to another private key? I want to generate a fresh one with a custom prefix pub key
pv ☀️ Iris on App stores (Apple and Play) 💫 Some fixes and updates 🤙 Iris username 💜 You can download the store versions: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=to.iris.twa And check the FAQ first if you have any questions: Lots of the questions have been asked already earlier and the Iris search box is an excellent way to find them. The earlier daily pv posts from this account also share tips and new features if you're new to Iris. #[0] Thanks for all the comments, suggestions, bugs and issues you have found. Some of them have already been fixed. #[1] Register your free Iris username for short linking and a free NIP05 if you haven't already. #[2]
