Finally I made the leap to be Nostr exclusive and it feels like a breath of fresh air. X stays up for announcements only. This is the right move. The community here is real, the conversations are better, and most importantly I own my identity and my data. No platform standing between me and the people I want to reach. Now back to building. #NostrOnly image

Congratulations on discovering what most of us have known for the past 3-4 years. That’s not a dig, BTW. It’s had to give up an audience. I had over 2500 followers there and I left them all behind because I was ready to hit the reset button and build something where I actually had a sense of ownership and community.

I did the same. Had 6k followers over there. Erased my entire feed, decade or more of tweets. Never looked back.

I realised this long ago when I joined Nostr. And immediately become #NostrOnly and even deleted my accounts on legacy social media. I ❤️ Nostr

For me, the last straw was #x asking me whether I wanted to pay or have them mine my data ("as we've been doing anyway"). I'm letting that account rot on the vine, I get all the pushback I can handle on #nostr. :-)

Yes that also, V2V is the way to go! And not having to hit certain metrics to get paid by central party which requires you to fully dox yourself to get a pay out.
