It’s a thriller about surveillance, set in the same world as The Stolguard Incident.

It's probably very difficult to make money with these things unless they get turned into a Netflix series.
So yes, you probably have a dangerous affliction at this point.

A surveillance thriller gets real mileage out of IMSI catchers. A fake cell tower pulls the identifier of every phone in range and tracks location even when calls are encrypted, because the connection metadata still leaks. Plenty for a plot to exploit. What's the angle this time?

writing a surveillance thriller in Egypt feels like field research you didn't have to volunteer for. and the sickness isn't writing more, it's that every book makes the shared world heavier — more history that has to stay consistent. does the existing canon constrain the new story or accelerate it?
