another nice aspect of vibe coding I underappreciated: when I'm decompressing after work I can turn into "lazy pair programmer mode" and just play runescape and watch youtube while the agent is still doing stuff. i just have to pop in and review code chunks when it notifies me. i can work when I'm not working! Have you tried Claude Code or OpenCode? I find working on defining a good issue / feature or even full spec, and then letting it run a plan based on that, and check it step by step rather a Ralph Wiggum loop. Then getting GitHub Copilot to do a review (I prefer Copilots reviews to Claude). Then get the agent to address to items. I’ve been using a custom voice app I built for voice integration into the terminal is good, when you can just explain more nuance that you just wouldn’t really type out can be good too (with screenshots). Lastly, creating a /reflect skill is cool, because after some time (often before a compact) you can ask it to reflect on your conversation to further refine the system prompt, skills etc. that would follow how you like things done your way next time first time.
I’ve basically went from this: nevent1qqs8czghhsrmv6a8p35zwwdr5jzreszywvd9kfvejfx5jua3sns4evq3f7dvx To a slightly more efficient version using claude To a slightly more efficient version using claude code and non-vibe-editing

The fact that you even tried the “no-copy-paste” makes me want to trust your code more than others
to me its also just more effective. I correct the ai ~20-30% of the time while it’s working. If i didn’t do that it would go off in random directions and it wouldn’t be useful, or i would have to get it to fix its slop at the end which could be a lot slower
this wisdom existed before ai. copy and pasting code from stackoverflow was looked down upon as a dangerous act
Have you tried the Claude mobile app with the Code tab to spin off agents to fix specific issues in their own virtual environments? Pretty handy when not near a PC and can come back to review PRs when you are.

That makes so much sense. Thanks for keeping the wisdom alive. You know, the invention of copy/paste had to be insanely game changing back in the day. I feel like copy/paste is a seemingly simple concept with a deeper meaning. Digital scarcity was non-existent because of copy/paste. And look at us now! I’m about 3/4 of a bottle of Peony Lane deep in the meaning of life…
