I can see they pushed quite a decent innovation recently where guest users do not need to be authorised to chat. This approach makes sense even for our stream tomorrow but we will stick with the plan. Thanks for bringing this up. We may give it a go with the next one. The whole idea here with going with our streams online is to get users from outside nostr bubble, we are keen to use solutions that are user-friendly and allow guest users to participte in the chat with minimum friction. After recent upgrades @HiveTalk is definitely a right choice for what we are aiming for this year. The HiveTalk team is strong and keeps shipping code like a clockwork!

Yeah it’s been both nostr and non-nostr needed login for a while. It is fantastic though and shoutout must go to @BITKARROT , @YEGHRO and countless others. Buttercup Roberts being one too. (Sadly can’t find their npub rn!). @BITKARROT though does SO much and is deserving of a lot of praise for the pressure she puts herself under. Yeah though, @HiveTalk is a serious busy bee. (no pun intended.. I think) Love the idea of NOSTR London exploring it more!! That makes me really happy 😊 Please feel free to ask me any questions!

Nostr needs more diverse content that isn’t exclusively tied to the Bitcoin world. Right now, there’s a common misconception that Nostr is only for Bitcoiners, and when people visit and see user profiles, many get discouraged or leave with the wrong impression that it’s not for them. Global censorship, however, could help accelerate its growth by offering a clear alternative to traditional platforms. If bitcoiners don't get it - others won't come neither... (maaaaybe) Besides that, nostr is not only a social layer for social media, it is a decentralised ID. This alone could become a major selling point in coming years. Not a content, just a simple ID that allows you to communicate 1:1 with others without email/phone number in a private way, spiced up with payments. Another thing is llm agents, they get a mega combo package with a single key. That will play out very well. I'm not thinking about millions of bots posting, it is your self hosted llm bot/agent/swarm that has ID and can chat with you in private way, make transfers 24/7, act as business partner that never sleeps and cannot be turned off. Decentralised payments + ID this will be a driver. Relays, there will be many types of relays boosted with LLM agents and LLM services Check @BAO MARKETS HQ website, prediction markets using nostr to backup data in encrypted fashion. Login with face ID or email but their users have nostr credentials without knowing it. There will be many more of such app where users have no idea nostr exists. Apps do not need to end with "str" @HiveTalk for private video and public video streams, lots of features @Fountain app allowing musicians to earn bitcoin. Apps do not even need to mention nostr at all. @Satlantis: Social Events does not talk about nostr but provide the social layer, payments all combined

If Nostr could just come up with a large language model to compete with Anthropic... Too much of an ask?

Yes this correct. Hivetalk does not require a nostr account. You can use it anon but you get more features with a nostr account.

And a nostr account gets you permanent rooms you can use for hours, anons only get ephemeral rooms for 1h before having to spin up another
