I saw a bunch of shit on X like "Follow me and like this post if you love Charlie Kirk" disgusting. Even more disgusting are the Shitcoiners who are actually making Charlie Kirk meme coins.
It's been an eye opening few days. You can feel the shift in attitude on Nostr even, and not only in discussions concerning the assassination, but in the general discourse. My follow list is a bit lighter.
This 💯. Can’t stand to see their fiat faces. Unfollow and move along.

On rare occasions, we should write about "other things". But focus on quality not quantity (I don't claim any of my writing is quality. And I write too much about lots of random shit!) Sensible people, who really believe in the freedoms necessary to hold back political violence, need to speak up with principles.
I think those people need to get out more, get rallied & start invoking the procedures of ballot we need to start sending laws back.

It’s not political violence, it’s leftist violence. It’s all coming from one side.

Agree. Even his wife is doing it. Did you see the photo of her draped across his coffin on Instagram?

Heard someone describe it as "performative grief", seems spot on.

That’s what happens when attention becomes a commodity.

Influencers only influence their followers, everyone gets what they deserve. It’s evolution
Culture we live in corrupt seed do fucked up shit to get the seed...
No shot you actually think we have anything close to free market capitalism after the Covid-era airline bailouts and bank bailouts in 2008 (to name a few)?
Yes, social media influencers are capitalizing on content creation and curating, maybe more now post covid
Broadly the USA is so much closer to Corporatism for the 99% and Socialism for the 1% than it is to [idealistic] free market capitalism.
