@N how he can still walk with balls this big. His llm wiki and the Q / mk5 are absolute ballers
Je vais écouter votre podcast ! Je m'y suis abonné. Faut vraiment que je regarde comment faire des live sur nostr pour le mien realassets.fr
That's cool but have you tried nostr's
@Chain Duel v2?
My question for you is, in a few weeks when bip110 is active, Wil you pretend it never mattered or will you come out and explain why you were the one that was misguided and confused? Are you going to be a man of integrity or just parrot what the others say like you have been.
Inquiring minds want to know
I will once again respond in good faith…
Do you mean if bip110 magically gets consensus? Or if bip110ers fork off and claim they are the real bitcoin? Or something else?
Regardless of what happens, it won’t change the reality that bip110 simply isn’t a good idea.
If bip110 fails, will you admit it has failed? Or will you move the goalposts? If bip110 “succeeds” but doesn’t achieve what you’ve been promised by your influencers, will you reflect or deflect? Will you come out and explain why you were the one that was misguided and confused?
Who am I parroting?
If I am just a parrot, why do bip110ers insist on making me one of their chief perceived enemies?
Ironic to use this type of language, given bip110 devotees parrot bip110 influencers ad nauseam… but alas…
Hope you have a good day bro.
You answered my question without answering.
We choose you because you are an easy target. It's easy to see that you are subject to social pressure above all else.
A movement of the people where most agree is different than a circle jerk that ignore their own comment section.
Miners will do what they have to do, follow incentives, mine blocks, they prefer to mine blocks over gambling on the spam fork.
Bip110 could not go the way we prefer. And if that is the case, real bitcoiners will do whatever it takes. Can't kill an idea. Bip110 is what Bitcoin has always been, money.
What does “whatever it takes” mean?
Bip110 is a bip… Bitcoin is Bitcoin.
Meaning, we will adapt. There will be more resistance against the institution of Bitcoin.
I don't know what that will look like exactly. No one knows.
Bitcoin is Bitcoin. The one that trades for USD, right? Ngu technology.
I don't see it that way. Bitcoin is the people that use it as money and speak up for it as such.
Or is Bitcoin to you whatever core developers tell you it is?
Another reason why I focus on you is because I thought you have potential. You don't seem bought and paid for as much as just blinded by the fear of being wrong. Hoping to open your eyes. Probably a waste of energy.
Also, you actually engage on nostr. I appreciate that about you a lot. 🫂
I use bitcoin as money every single day… I also speak up for Bitcoin as money constantly. It’s what I use my platform for.
I can mine the BIP110 chain indefinitely with my legacy bitcoin stack. Others can too. Ever heard of hash rentals? It’s a thing.
If you say so.
Well said. “Don't trust, verify” has its limits. I’m not in a position to review the code for Knots/Bip110; at some point, everyone has to place their trust in something. The question is simply, at what point? For me, that point has been reached here. Whom and whose arguments do I trust more: Matthew Kratter, Knut Svanholm, Mechanic, Luke Dashir, George Bodine - or Odell and his ilk? The question was rhetorical.
We love this about you. But you're not engaging seriously with the arguments. You're claiming that you know BIP-110 will fail to take majority hashpower, and also that it is a bad idea. If you've engaged with the arguments seriously, you would not be confident in that position at all. No matter how much fools like Peter Todd want to convince you that you're too stupid to engage intellectually with this thing, that's just wrong. Fuck their elitism. Think for yourself.
Does anyone else see the similarities of arguments between Bitcoin Cash and BIP110?
I haven’t talked to Peter about this at all… haven’t even seen him tweet about this (maybe algo just not showing me). Point is, I *am* thinking for myself. If I was letting other people think for me I’d be pro bip110 since that’s what many influencers are doing to farm engagement.
lol if I was subject to social pressure I’d be pro bip110 like the other “influencers” who jumped on the bandwagon
I wish you all the best
Correct. Thought it was weird you claimed I didn’t engage in your video when we had literally been engaging together earlier that same day…
No I'm saying Peter is an extreme version of the whole mentality around Core. I'm saying you've adopted some of his appeals to trusting the devs, not that you've just let him think for you. I'm saying people like that who disrespect nodes completely, their philosophy about this is wrong. I'm not saying that you don't think for yourself at all, I'm saying that you're putting way too much stock in the ideas of people who don't even respect you, or anyone.
And that last statement you made does not follow at all. Most influencers and people in the spotlight are either avoiding this subject like the plague or being actively against BIP-110. I don't see any reason you would fall into supporting it just for clout.
Please don't take this as an insult. I am just trying to have a productive conversation and I'm very disagreeable. You seem to be a man with integrity who forms his own opinions on things. That's why I'm talking to you at all.
1. Never told people to “trust the devs” — why would you lie about this?
2. Never told people to run code v30
3. Told people to run knots or run core I don’t care
4. Told people I run an old version of core and you don’t need to update your node
5. No point in debating the influencer point it’s self evident.
I sincerely appreciate that. And trust me, I don’t take anything as an insult (even outright insults, of which I receive many), so no worries there. We simply have different opinions formed based on our analyses of the available information. That’s okay. Differences of opinion are good.
Peter hasn't said jack shit about this stuff for a year as far as I know, but I remember you talking with him before, and that mentality, of "Everyone else is stupid and therefore I ought to be able to unilaterally overrule them on everything (even though I have imperfect knowledge myself)" - that **arrogance** is part of the whole Core ethos nowadays. Core are lying. There's no consistency in their arguments. Mull it over and you'll see what I mean.
I also urge you to listen to Mechanic's arguments because, unlike some, he articulates and entertains both sides of the argument and readily gives reasons to back up every single thing. Something anti-BIP-110 people have not sufficiently done through this whole debate.
Thanks 🫂
You must have severely misunderstood everything I said at the time you wrote this, I didn't make any such claims. And no point 5 is not self evident.
Classy, as always, sir. ✊🏾😎
You said “I'm saying you've adopted some of his appeals to trusting the devs”, hence point 1.
Points 2-4 are simply an FYI because the knots/bip110 camp constantly claim I’m a “coretard v30 simpfluencer” when I’ve literally never advocated for core v30.
Point 5 we can agree to disagree I guess, but I’ve seen a bunch of influencers hop on the bip110 bandwagon just in the last few weeks.
The beauty of Bitcoin is **no one** can “unilaterally overrule” anything.
Unless, of course, you only have one developer pushing code…
I’ve listened to mechanic. He speaks very well.

That is a completely distinct thing from **telling people** to trust the devs, and technically I was not even saying necessarily that you are trusting the devs, my point was that you've accepted positions that only make sense if trusting the devs makes sense. Logically dependent upon Core's bullshit philosophy. When I am able to, I speak very precisely. I mean exactly what I say and no more. You understandably inferred a but more, but I was not implying that.
I agree that some people are advocating BIP-110 to fit in with a crowd or because they just decided to trust that side and not think it through. It is not the majority of the people who trust and don't verify though, unless we're winning much harder than I thought we were.
And thanks for clarifying on 2-4, those are indeed all signs of someone being careful and not trusting. I like your caution.
I wish people on the BIP-110 side would shut the fuck up about calling you a Coretard. You're not.
I'm in complete agreement that no one can unilaterally overrule anything in Bitcoin. If one developer or one special interest group gained a monopoly over the whole thing, that would not be Bitcoin. We don't have that problem with Core or Knots. They are open source, in an inescapably free market. The migration of market share from Core to Knots proves the lack of monopoly. What happens when you believe you do have monopoly power over Bitcoin is you FAFO. That is what is happening to Big Bitcoin. It's as simple as that.
Bitcoin cash removed rules, BIP110 doesn't. I'm I wrong?
No clue but as far as I can tell it’s changing the rules, doesn’t solve the problem it claims too, and its followers are telling me it’s the REAL Bitcoin and everything will suck if it doesn’t work.
I think you might be a criminal.
fuck me i was terrible wrong here but i suffered the consequences
Many people were fooled. Don’t beat yourself up over it.
