This is the most fed-like behavior ever: Paying both sides of the war, in order to control the narrative and make sure that no significant development ever happens Jack Dorsey is no stranger to collaborating with 3-letter agencies, as evidenced by #TwitterFiles Now we have to believe he’s a new person who somehow adopted a new lifestyle under the Bitcoin standard… while completely cutting ties with his old friends. I ain’t buying it. Unlike many of my peers, I’m not under Jack’s payroll and can afford to speak my mind: this is what we get in order to prevent us from scaling Bitcoin and making it private. Eternal conflict, chaos, and infighting that breaks year-long friendships and reputations that took many years to build. But hey, at least the price went up. Why aren’t you happy? image

Thank you for saying it People here need to wake up
I'm more worried about Lutnick and the other Jack collaborating, since he was Epsteins year long neighbor and conveniently did not go to work on sept 11. Deep rabbitholes my friends

Not going to be a Bitchat groupie Vlad?
No idea is crazy. You’re already making an assumption about my knowledge without knowing who I am. But why make this alternative when you can’t control the narratives? Why leave twitter to begin with?
The opposite argument can be made: @jack is funding Nostr precisely because he experienced the pressure of three-letter agencies while running a centralized social media platform. He learned from that experience and is now backing an alternative that cannot be co-opted or corrupted in the same way. What if the Twitter Files were actually released to sow distrust in what Dorsey is building with Nostr, carefully curated and timed in a way that shapes the narrative in one very specific direction? Without concrete evidence supporting any of these possibilities, it ultimately comes down to perspective. Whether you lean toward optimism or pessimism dictates how you interpret the “true” reality. There are no certainties, only probabilities.
Jack Dorsey left Twitter behind becauseohe spared the agency's attempts to control data, and yes he sold it to someone who was wanted by them at that time ( elon ). Thisnguy finance a lot of project like nostr where we chat now.. I think he is challenge them and all of their attempt to stop him will fail. Even this one ;).
“Voluntarily caused egregious levels of existential damage to society. “ “All done under the order of the state.” Do you know what an oxymoron is?
Moving the goalposts. You said Jack Dorsey funds primal. That’s not true. Going over to simplex doesn’t change that. You can hate him for whatever reason you want but you’re misinformed about a lot of things.
He’s donated millions trying to build a system that fixes the problem he faced on Twitter and you’re talking about accountability? Why are you even on nostr if it’s so horrible?
That's how intelligence operates. You gathet data from all sides. You build the tools, you undermjne them again. No wonder you are still at Bitcoin maximalist lalala land stage. You missed the early years. Intelligence is involved since at least 2010. Long before you even headed of Bitcoin.
Sure, SimpleX is part of the same strategy. Nothing bad with funding of open source tech through government bodies. Theythemselves rely on it for their own communication.
It’s a way to circumnavigate the cellular networks, but it poses a lot of security concerns of authenticity and I am cautious before engaging that way. Just my 2 sats, which ::echem:: is more than @MAHDOOD is willing to cough up.
The Twitter Files were mentioned in the original post above. I appreciate you adding more context from your earlier posts, but those weren’t part of this specific thread. The good news is, none of us need to rely on Jack’s word about the protocol, we can look at the code ourselves. Even with the added context from your previous posts, the point still stands: your interpretation of reality rests mostly on our limited understanding of the past Twitter events and on personal vibes.
With twitter he banned free speech (he apologized publicly), with Cash App they close accounts at will and force selling btc, with square they gauge free accounts. This is not a changed man, this is someone who is ahead of the curve and capitalizing on it. If he posts something all of nostr goes crazy. KOOL-AID.
Centralised/closed products and services built on top of nostr is fine with me, to be honest. But that's discussion for another day.
He didn’t have a choice with Twitter Listen to his viewpoint on it here: Cash app, strike, swan, and all the others have to comply with KYC bullshit. Do you buy KYC sats? He’s not getting ahead of the curve, he’s doing the same thing as all other regulated exchanges. No one has donated more to nostr development than Jack Dorsey and his donations are no strings attached. He has no say in what nostr devs do with that money.
Same. It’s an open and free protocol. You can build whatever they want and users can use whatever they want. If you don’t like it then don’t use it.
He limited freedom of speech and didn’t tell people that it was against his will. He closes accounts that try to take measures to preserve privacy. He charges more than most credit cards in fees for square. Goose collects data, bitchat collects data 👀 let me say that AGAIN, BITCHAT collects user data.
If I stop you from saying what you want to say that’s not malicious? If I stop you from moving money as you wish that’s not malicious. Get with the fucking program. You’re brain dead.
I’m not calling him evil, I’m saying his values are misaligned. His heart is in the right place but his framework has been corrupted by his past and knowledge base.

Now you ARE dodging. I'm not going to list them when @aco and I already did in our previous comments. Then you'll just be making us waste our time.

He does to me, too. He's still young. Has a lot of learning to do in regards to how the deep state operates.
And you assume that he could have publicly disclosed that? He follows KYC laws. All regulated exchanges do that. All of them. They all do the same shit. Blame government for it. Also bitchat doesn’t collect data. You and Luke are sharing false information. image
All you’ve said is he censored people on Twitter. And I already explained that he was coerced. Everything else you said is wrong. Dorsey doesn’t fund primal. And his nostr donations have no strings attached. He can’t monetize data on nostr because it’s all free and open. So what other points have you made? Because both of you have not made a single valid claim.
It’s decentralized, better than any social we’ve had. Good people, good conversations. Did you expect me to say freedom of speech?
We know you’re black, but you can type. So you can’t be fully retarded. Yet, you ask this question, so you must be fully retarded. You tested, what? 80iq?

We've made plenty of valid claims. You just can't wrap your head around them. That's your fault and yours alone. Fyi, there are ALWAYS strings attached when you have external funding. ALWAYS!!!
My man!! 🫡✅ you get it!!!!! The same man who knowing installed CENSORSHIP on Twitter to UNDERMINE Americans freedom is now undermining and creating division HERE!! Bitcoin = MONEY not a fucking protocol!! ✅
This thread reminds me of the Blacklist episode where some girl made a “dark web” website where people around the world could donate money to hunt down and execute people!! I think we need that here since @jack decided to nigger the world 🥶🥶🥶 no where to hide Jacky boi
It’s an insult if it makes you feel uncomfortable. I only do it cause it makes gets under his skin. Other than that I could care less what meme.
Okay so primal is bad because they’re AVC’s driven by profits. And donations are bad because they have strings attached. What do you actually want I don’t understand? Do people have to build it all out for free, maintain it even when violent governments coerce you, and then magically privatize all the data on an open protocol?

No one is suggesting that he created nostr. Just that he has too much of an influence over it.
Assume 80% in the industry whether they know it or not are working collaborating financing 3 letter agencies and banking cartel.

What I have noticed about bitchat that seems suspicious. When I use a vpn set to foreign countries, even if I turn off my cellular service it still picks up my actual location. So I thought maybe it’s using my internet service to figure out my location. I turned off my WiFi and used cellular and it still shows where I am, not the vpn location. Can someone explain how this works? I thought the VPN would block my location.

Lol ok. That's good for you... I guess. You're making stuff up in an attempt to make us look foolish but you have proved nothing. You still haven't proved anything we've said to be false.
You might have a DNS leak. Have you tested?Bitchat needs location, network, and Bluetooth permissions. It also uses geohashing. It is possible to do other tests. It also uses precise location, WiFi scanning etc. That doesn't mean it collects data and sends it home.

I’m not technical enough to know what a dns leak is or how to test it. 🤣 I just decided to delete bitchat.

So, I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. This popped up. This is how they initially found my location. It uses nearby Bluetooth devices. image
A VPN changed your IP address. This hides your location if a site uses IP to locate. Bitchat uses GPS/Bluetooth for location so VPN does nothing unless you spoof GPS coordinates as well.
Nah. Jack may have colabed with the feds when he felt like he had no other option. Very different from building something from scratch to lure people in and then fuck them.
You still don't get it? There will NEVER be a system without intelligence operatives. The mission is to create the future you want to see in this world WITH them regardless of their involvement. Make the process open source Make encryption the standard for every communication Fix financial incentives You force them to contribute to the betterment of tools both sides can use. They still can fool the masses, tell them they need to use AV/KYC systems when they don't. But that's another story. Everybody able to see can choose freely to operate within or outside the matrix. It's not just our duty to develop the code but guiding our friends and families so they don't fall prey to the lies of the feds.

I uninstalled and then reinstalled the app and this popped up. So it used Bluetooth and gps to triangulate my general area (not my ip address). I’m guessing if I opened bitchat in a different location then it would give me different location channels.
I’ve noticed a few times now that he has timed his releases to coincide with major Nostr app updates, which ends up taking the oxygen out of the room. The most recent examples were Amethyst’s 1.0 release and Bitchat’s geo-chat launch. Amethyst in particular needed space to explain the improvements and help people understand the changes, but the attention was diverted.
