Revolut recently banned using GrapheneOS without any justification. They're falsely claiming to do be doing it for security reasons. In reality, they're enforcing licensing Google Play. Revolut doesn't enforce security standards. It runs on Android 9 with no patches since 2018.

Revolut is incredibly negligent when it comes to security. It includes a bunch of closed source third party libraries with privacy, security and compatibility issues. Several of these libraries supposedly exist to protect security but in fact create serious security weaknesses.

I feel like I've been seeing this more and more with apps removing support for graphene os for "security" or "privacy" reasons, while supporting some archaic fucked up version of Google android. If it keeps moving this direction I guess the only move is to have two phones, one for important stuff like banking and government ID, and one for personal stuff...

Why would they do that? Is it related to the EU push to eliminate degoogled phones?

"One for stuff like banking and government ID, and one for important personal stuff..." There. I fixed it for you.
Android was my choice as being (some sort of) open source. That I can develop my own apps, and the os and apps can be reviewed by anyone. With recent Google announcement of killing it, and others somehow enforcing closed environment, it's all going to $hit. Time for a dumb phone, and get rid of all these leashes and leaches off
Moment of reflection. Why are you even here? Coinbase is shit Revolut is shit Credit cards are shit Are you making your master in shitoligybor are you looking for something else?
I had the idea the other day that you could maybe use a remote desktop app on your phone to access a VPS that runs a phone OS. You could maybe do VoIP calls and you can leave the stuff that you need to be able to acess offline on the local phone.

As much as i hate and try to avoid CEXes, i still have to use it once and a while to cash out and pay bills. Yes, yes, there is Retoswap, but that can take time and sometimes i need cash sooner than that.

You are telling me you dont have a single credit or debit card, pay for your gas with Monero and your food with monero and only use cash sparingly? U dreaming homie. It doesnt exist yet.
Yes, I tell you exactly that. I neither own a credit card nor a debit card. I still own one bank account that sees a couple of transactions I have not yet figured out to do via other means, but I will get there. I use mainly Monero with farmers and craftsmen, where it doesn't work directly I use via proxybuyers, I also buy giftcards and yes I use cash everywhere else. You are just lazy and a pretend Bitcoin hodler. Yes, it took me 5 years to get from close to 5% use to 90%. If I can do the PoW, everybody can do it. It's just a question of ones dedication.
No, you need a reliable network of people. I have not used a CEX in the last 8 years and I live 90% on Monero.
I'd avoid them as good as possible. Either they starve you or you starve them. Create different habits. Community car pooling. It's a creative fight and you need to show up for it.

Lol. You clearly dont know with whom you are talking to.
I agree with that, and commit on the long run, but it's missing the point. If at a given moment I need it, I need it. Even in a community car pooling, someone has to turn money into gas. If the only way to do that in this specific moment in space and time is with a credit/debit card, well I need a card, be it mine or someone else's.
And on the advertising screens that go along these days... Gosh in some stations you can't even fill your tank quietly any more.
We need to think of communities as extensions of our individual/family lives. Interacting internally under the conditions you all apply. Then this "body" as a proctetctive shield can deal with the world. E.g. get an anonymous credit card that the community refills from their crypto holdings. If your community gets big enough try to make deals directly routing around their privacy destroying intrusive stuff.
