GM nostrs KYC-free VISA card funded by Lightning? Spend sats in the real world. No middlemen, more freedom. 🧡 #Bitcoin #LightningNetwork #Nostr #FreedomTech
You can use it online. If you want to use it as tap to pay, unfortunately Curve doesn't allow it as it is in usd, so you need goolag pay. As i keep a spare phone just for banking apps and other things attached to my "government" persona, its on that. I hasten to add that said spare Goolagged phone is switched off unless needed, has no Sim card and only gets to piggy back from wifi or hotspot

Yes, it was in there briefly as well. Too bad we’ve come full circle to traditional banking where they charge you a yearly fee to choose the card(not to mention the tax implications for using btc as money)
Yup just got one of these, but only came to know of it through advertising on my Alby Hub. Hardest part was choosing a name for the card. They didn’t like “Charles Frost” for some reason. 🤩

Not seeing any adverts on my Alby Hub (which is hosted on my Umbrel).
There are a few Bitcoiners using it. It has fees, monthly subscription, deposit fees and FX fees. It is only a virtual card, but you can add the card to Google pay and Apple Pay may be coming in the future, so you can tap out at merchants as well as buy online. So it's real, but you pay for KYC free with the higher fees than a lot of other KYC options have.
Ok thanks for letting me know. Good to know about the option. When you use it via apple pay or google pay, you are just back on the privacy level you have with every google or apple pay transaction.
It's great! One issue I see though, when you use it in the EU, is that Freedomia probably doesn't have that MiCA license. If you then use a VISA card in Europe without your real name and you are identified somehow ... then only time will tell what consequences that may have. KYC is such a strange, megalomaniac concept. But it's real and implemented in the EU.
