you can just vibecode things very interested in non-feed approaches to navigating nostr a couple tweaks and this very basic visualization could be quite powerful; right now it's just looking at quote reposts and replies of a small subset of recent events; imagine loading more interactions and going farther than tweets into the other stuff rabbit hole

HAHAHHA "A Coinkite bitcoin blockchain explorer retired in 2013 when all the data became too big for redis on a average computer." didn't brb suffer the exact same fate? is there a redis running in my coldcard???
Would be cool to show a big convo where one of the axes is time so you can see where it branches off into threads. Each node is a note, and maybe the radius of the node represents some WoT-derived importance score.

Or like a time series thing to visualize the life of a note

This is a very cool idea! Combine with a text search box so one could narrow down the clouds to topical conversations, would be a pretty cool discovery tool!
Could this be used to analyse a network of virtual currency addresses that interact with one another?
I thought about such design for VR. Imagine this with eye tracking and a way to navigate the universe with your hands or just your eyes. It would allow the user to get to the content and not the other way around. The only thing is notes should be aggregated in galaxy for a specific subject. You would need a centralized DVM for that.
You can imagine a DVM that uses AI to sort post out and organise the universe up front, not very censorship resistant, that would be the limitation for such a design
This is fantastic and cool but ultimately not quite there. I have been wrestling with my twitter bookmarks to try and render them in a visual way like this and the missing piece is to make it 3D incorporating time.
Yes, also you could see what’s trending just by looking at a galaxy suddenly accumulating dust(reactions), stars etc The colours of the stars would tell you how recent the thing is. You could visualize a trending subject suddenly buzz in the universe and taking shape
I thought people are leaning towards open source, decentralized AI. If so, then that + a decentralized protocol = organization of posts based on similarities without *needing* hashtags? Hashtags are sometimes helpful, but I usually like the reading experience better when they are not there 😏
