The Ministry of Nodes "bo ba do, ding" chime will always be loged in my mind as a core bitcoin memory.

hello, i already have my own btc note running, buy I would also like to have a home server for other sovereign computing. would this set-up also work for this? or how does it compare to a start is server ? the really appreciate what you do
erratum: I* really appreciate what you do
It depends on what you want to do. You want a NAS, or you want to self host your own services? There are tons of options either way. This set up is bitcoin specific, but it's based on using docker on Ubuntu server, which is a good way to run other services as well.
so first use case would be to store photos and create shared folders with my family. but I would also like to start to experiment with services in general.
Then you probably want to have a NAS (network attached storage). All you need is a uses computer with some storage. You can install Ubuntu server and learn docker, or there are other more user friendly options like using TrueNAS Scale, which handles a lot of it for you.

I don't see any lightning content. Is that in the works?
I've been very happy with the 2022 version that I built a year and a half ago. Very interest in the Ashigaru wallet. Can't wait to get out of work!
Check out Start9

Accurate and thorough .. with the beauty of being able to rewind/replay .. earlier versions helped me grow my technical skills and I was starting from a zero-linux-skillbase
If this old bastard can do it .. so can you!

Your 2022 series taught me a lot about Bitcoin, but also just Linux in general! Zapped
I'm surprised that Start9 caused you problems. It installed seamlessly on my Nuc.
You'll definitely learn more with this approach though.
If you haven't found these tutorials, I highly recommend them:
