A key piece I think that needs to get on peoples mind is “HOW” we decouple Bitcoin from fiat.
As long as we price it in fiat we are beholden to their games.
We need to use energy instead of fiat to price things (using Bitcoin) … I think it’s ultimately the only way to not be subject to central bank games.

If @Luke Dashjr did that then it could contribute to centralization of Bitcoin development.
It's good that knots is "just a Luke project" because we need more than two popular implementations, and I think Luke is setting an example that more devs need to express their opinions in open source code.

You are the sole maintainer. Now, being maintainer doesn't mean you have full control because the code is open source. All the other knots devs could leave or fork off. Is that why you're saying it was never "just a Luke project?"
No, the Core maintainers also function as maintainers in Knots too. Saying I'm the sole maintainer because I roll the releases is like saying Gloria is the sole maintainer of Core 29.x.

Also, commenting on “how many people have 10M sats” self custody. Ignoring hodlers outside USA, Yahoo finance estimates 22% of Americans have more than $5k in savings. If we think 10% of them hold 100% of their savings in BTC, it’s 7.6M people. This estimate seems high.

I am degoogled, no gmail and use brave browser and search. YouTube is a difficult beast to control. But at least when you use YouTube on Brave there are not adds all the time.
I've been able to scale back YouTube by installing newpipe on Graphene OS via Fdroid then adding all my channel subscriptions.

As long as its decentralized, Bitcoin can not loose. Focus on decentralization is focus on winning in long term.
