It's amazing how people always blame amber but when I look most of the times is a client issue
I'm fucking tired of all this shit, stop complaining and fix your shit apps

When normies report stuff, they don't know the root cause. All they now is that Amber isn't working with some apps. In my case, I only raised the issue with you when I couldn't get Amber to NIP-46 connect to 3 different clients. Yes, could be a relay issue, but when each connection request comes with 3 different relays, normies start thinking about the common denominator.
lol! Preach brother, preach 🫂
I just use amber from 2 years ago and everything works fine now. It was new amber that have me trouble tbh.
Do you remember what was the issue and what was the client?
No sorry
No problem, if you remember let me know so I can fix it
Thank you for your patience... Your work is a benchmark of quality development on Nostr. And quite frankly, I'm not going to use anything what is not Amber compatible on my phone.
I don’t blame amber sir, I just think new users won’t take keys as seriously as nostr OGs and so it’s not worth the extra maintenance
Keep going :wisp_salute:
Trying to. Where is the spec?
I do agree with you on this, it's good to also have a easy to app that people are familiar with
You doing a good job.
That is a legitimate approach. We can agree to disagree on that, but I respect that decision. Honestly I don't think @greenart7c3 talked about you.
Are you build for android also or just bunker?
The android spec is here
Im trying to simplify it here, dont know if it's better or not

Yes, but what if that certain newbie after a few months of exploring becomes hardcore, and likes your client and wants to continue using that npub with *other stuff* and a signer.
Fair enough.
BASED BASED BASED :gachiHYPER:
The truth is many (most of) people do need amber even among newbies..If your client doesn't support it, it's not an app that I'd recommend for a new nostr user tbh.
It would feel like recommanding to a new Bitcoiner to onboard through custodial KYC Bitcoin, nonsense.
Nostr private keys may become as valuable in the future than Bitcoin private keys, in some keys maybe much more if the web of trust emerges as planned..so we have to treat them well from the start and give the good reflex to people.
They’ll just one another client, it’s very simple.
Or you know can just audit my code for security, if you trust a signer you can also trust wisp. If you don’t that’s fine just use another app
Does wisp use amber anymore when signing in
Feels like you removed it
Agree... at this point with @Clave Remote Signer most of the time i'm troubleshooting other client's implementations of NIP-46.
It’s a pain in the ass to implement. But when you get it right it’s invisible 🤝

View quoted note →Only a few years ago I'd have laughed myself to death if you'd have told me the lock-in period for your newbie based app is "until they can audit the code"
But it's 2026 and somehow it seems like a totally valid thing now 🚀
I think I'm missing the shit with blames somehow...
But... @Constant and I did some little UX brainstorming on Amber adding simplicity for a more convenient experience using the app. Offcourse...this has nothing to do with clients but just how the flow of giving permissions could work with less friction.
Keep up the good work.
How is it a lock in?
that's just an expression. like "fly on the wall".
Building for iOS, I’ll take a look at it, thanks!
For IOS i think aegis and primal did something different, haven't looked at it yet.
Maybe they just used nip 46 since ios can't communicate with other apps in background
Gotta prepare for this in general if i become a dev
