We posted treasures.to on Reddit. They are coping hard. They're mad. We pissed them off! πŸ˜‚ "Do I need to know (or care) about whatever the heck nostr is?" "Another idiot who doesn't grasp that the reason Geocaching exists as an ongoing sport is because of the support provided by "corporate platforms"." @chad btw check out ! #grownostr https://www.reddit.com/r/geocaching/comments/1l7esib/treasures_a_decentralized_geocaching_platform/ image

This has been my Reddit experience every time. The moment you displease anyone about anything your stuff gets removed. I wish people would stop contributing their energy to that hellhole.
Oof. They will normally give you a reason, or you can ask the mods. Though reddit wide has this rule about: Rule 4 – No Self-Promotion (links to your own project are OK only if you already have a history of regular, non-promotional participation) It's a bit of a silly rule, and not consistently applied. I dont do it on r nostr at all. But very often in a large sub they'll remove something for that.
ikr ... I would have thought it would be one of the most useful types of posts For some reason reddit prefers estabilshed community members to link to their projects, rather than, first time posters. I think think it's a bad rule, but it gets a lot of people.
"Interesting perspective! It’s always fascinating to see how community dynamics shape interactions. Maybe there’s room for more inclusivity? πŸ€”"
It’s a flawed administration structure I don’t know how to fully fix it but you can’t have a bunch of ideological zealots as mods on subreddits especially if they’re shared between subs
It's one thing happening with cryptocurrency, but with decentralized social media...πŸ€”

Gonna be less busy soon and ordered an ebike the other day. Already could use to touch some grass, and going against Reddit is the cherry on top in motivation to give setting up a geocache via Nostr a try.
