What about exposing a way to leverage atomic swaps like boltz to convert the onchain zaps to lightning zaps since you plan on restricting sending to other wallets?. Boltz provides apis to do this.
If they're willing to withdraw to a Cashu mint, then they should accept the zaps via Cashu in the first place Our goal isn't just to ensure that nerds have safe options, but that the default experience for relative noobs isn't a privacy shitshow
Onchain zaps turn every public profile into a wallet clustering machine. Happy customers can be happy with a UX footgun right up until chain surveillance calls it a feature.
People complaining about something they don't build is normal. What is not normal is not being open to criticism and improve from it.
Monero is the answer. Always was. Yours sincerley, a former Bitcoin maxi est. 2010.

No, that's also normal. If someone knows they built something shitty then they will try to avoid criticism in order ti avoid feeling bad about it. It's just the smart thing to do tbh.

Honestly, I have no idea what you talking about
If someone knows that what he created is shit, he doesn't respect himself on the first place, he's not intelligent either. Wisdom comes from acknowledging your errors and become better every day.

So [On-chain zaps] = [Bitcoin] - [usefulness and sovereignty] + [privacy risk]? Will you also be adding a button to instantly share your nsec with another user? Just add lots of warnings.
25th here. Quite absurd and dangerous feature, if you ask me. Unless you’re a FED. Then it’s great.

Dude even smart people make mistakes sometimes, and even people with self respect are insecure about their own mistakes sometimes. There's nothing wrong with either of those things. Acknowledging and accepting errors is not how people become better. People become better by trying to distance themselves from their errors as much as possible and from trying to avoid reminders of those errors. It's a very natural and important human instinct, and it's very effective too! Sure, if I was more humble then I could accept a future where I just keep making the same mistake over and over again and just internalize the idea that I make mistakes sometimes. But there's a very good reason humans don't think that way. Ego is how we grow.
We should have a social-media like app to dox the powerful. Not ourselves. 🀣🀣🀣 But... The rodeo has been wild... 🀣🀠

Alex, as it stands you can't go from onchain to a cashu mint. Onchain has to be swapped to lightning or open a channel and then sent to a cashu mint.
It would be cool to see miners that haven’t been eaten by the AI operations to be liquidity providers for lightning by hoovering up small utxos/dust and giving you btc back via lightning. They would charge a high fee rate, but it would utilize the dust utxos that so many people have that are basically pointless to spend.
