The grip of stupidity is strangling our spirit. The fun police are out to get you... 🇬🇧 A 15-year-old teenager was arrested in Britain after posting a photo of a local politician depicted as a rabbit. "The teenager posted an edited photo of Conservative councillor Simon Bennett, adding rabbit ears to his head. Under the picture, the teenager wrote: 'Nibble… nibble… crunch… crunch… Hear that? That's the sound of a rabbit devouring the last scraps of the Wolverhampton Conservatives' reputation.' As a result, four police officers arrived at the teenager's home in two patrol cars. The boy was arrested in front of his mother and neighbours, and his electronic devices were confiscated." image

Always pay attention to whom you are “not allowed” to mock. Those are the most *dangerous skin suits around. *to freedom of speech and expression
To be fair, that's pretty offensive to rabbits, they don't deserve to get lumped in with that. They just want to eat lettuce and have fun times.
The usual tool for arrests like this is Section 127 of the Communications Act 2003, which covers sending grossly offensive or menacing messages, and even causing annoyance or needless anxiety qualifies. FOI data obtained by The Times put arrests under it and Section 1 of the Malicious Communications Act 1988 at 12,183 in 2023.
