Are we talking the families the live outside the system “Elite”?
The few I’ve met, their focus and view of the world is so narrow
They often times have an inability to see what’s coming. Shocking for their status and wealth
I find it hard to believe the families who have orchestrated this multi decade / century humanity shaping experiment with success is incompetent. You have to be pretty sophisticated and patient to capture America in almost every aspect.

US Army here, back in the day I assumed all Colonels and above were competent because otherwise how could incompetence be promoted if 20% of officers are culled as they progress through each rank. Then I made it to staff, I greatly underestimated the size of the incompetent Lieutenant pool, or the negative effects of institutionalization and self-interest.
