Ah I was just wondering about this. RIP that privacy policy I read that said they don't train on chats that I didn't believe. Now it's an explicit opt out I won't believe.
This is a fine question. The TechCrunch piece says API usage is excluded, but I'd never trust that.

Ack, that's a downer. 😕 I used Claude a lot in the early days and preferred it to ChatGPT.

the opting out in the app is a clusterfuck of dark ux design patterns. when I click the toggle to not share my chats, will hitting the accept button. mean opting out or opting in? Ps: I need followers yall
I use those services exclusively through ppq.ai which never asked for personal information and promises not to link one chat with the next.
Yes I was not amused to see this today. And it was a matter of time this to happen. On the bright side there’s now the AI Lumo by Proton which I think will get a boost. I have only tested it briefly and will definitely use it more instead of Claude. image

User interface and UX which doesn’t has the users best interest in mind. Hinder opt outs or confuses and such

You get....clows by opting out? I kinda hoped explanation that would let me understand and help me explain to others when i'm asked (my family, friends etc.)
