CONFESSION: Today I came to the humorous, but accurate, realization that the only reason I spend any time on social media is that my IRL friends have little to no interest in investing, macroeconomics, and even Bitcoin. Related, the urge to unplug and permanently touch grass is incessant for me now that I am not trying to grow my business and brand.

I own and operate 2 small businesses and I am in the process of shutting one down completely for this exact reason. I still need the other for cash flow, but I’m laser focused on simplifying it and I do zero marketing. My social media use is Nostr only and even that feels like switching from cigarettes to nicotine gum. It’s still an addiction and probably not additive to my life. I think I may need to go monk mode for a month and eliminate everything.

I feel you. Being semi-retired myself I really only use social media to check-in on world events with the most observant people I can find there. I will post if I feel the urge, or out of boredom, but mostly I don’t have a desire to have my voice heard, or build a following, or any of that. Here’s a “meh” kitten. image

It’s helpful to have a sound-minded believer who is a BTC maxi, understands broad markets and effectively communicates relevant macroeconomic data post regular updates. Someone who is genuine and not trying to sell or hype increases the credibility exponentially. You are that guy and the single reason I even have a @primal account.
