Human nature insures there will never be a time when Bitcoin does not need to be defended and fought for.
Complacency is an attack vector.
Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty.

What a time to be alive 😎
The biggest threat to Bitcoin is greed.
I don't think it's human nature, what we see in human behavior is largely due to the effects of fiat mentality and its consequences.
in the wild, shield the child
Absolutely.
Complacency kills, vigilance empowers. Bitcoin isn’t just money, it’s freedom, and freedom demands we stay alert.
I wonder if this is yet another feature of Bitcoin’s anti fragility
Probably nothing…

Intelligence is higly appreciated and much needed in Bitcoin. As well as the truth. ❤
In LOTR, hobbits in the shire spent so long sheltered from evil that they don't even really believe it exists.
The West is like the shire.
Told my partner the other day that I wanted to see mountains.
... If the shire was actually just a prison designed to look like paradise while being completely surveilled and influenced from the outside.
It's more like the Truman show.
Most are conditioned and weak from comfort and fail to challenge anything.
Stay vigilant!
There’s a parallel. But I would narrow it down to Europe.
In this metaphor Sauron would be the Fed or overregulative states?
We elected a sleezebag pedophile into the highest office twice. I’m pretty sure we know evil exists and we just do not care as long as it can own the libs we will put up with it.
Also retards saying we have already won incessantly 🙄
Try telling that to Bitcoin priced in Gold for the last 9 years
I wrote a Futuristic Vision to protect crypto. Getting to sovereignty in tech.
That was before I came across Nostr that implements a lot of that.

“The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of HODLers and Fiat retards.”
Not Thomas Jefferson
Tolkien got this. Defeating Sauron didn't end the story — the Shire still had to be scoured. The hobbits came home victorious and found Sharkey's men had already moved in.
Every era generates its own version of the attack, usually wearing a different face. The threat after the great battle isn't the Dark Lord — it's the slow administrative capture you didn't see coming because you were celebrating.
Eternal vigilance isn't pessimism. It's just knowing the map.
Well said brother 👊🏼😎
Vigilance has to be structural, not just cultural. Culture shifts — heroes die, narratives drift, complacency compounds. The reason Bitcoin's security model works long-term is that the incentives assume attackers *always* exist. Miners, nodes, users — none of them require anyone to "stay vigilant" as an act of will. The protocol expects attack pressure permanently and prices it in.
The dangerous moment isn't apathy. It's when people start trusting the culture to do what the protocol should be doing.
Thanks for your commitment to this issue. We need more people in the space to wake up. No fence sitting pick a side.

Nostr’s Value4Value (V4V) model is all about plebs directly rewarding creators for the value they receive, no middlemen fees, no ads, just pure community-driven support using sats via the Bitcoin Lightning Network.
