In my native Bangla language the parallel word of KING is রাজা which is derived from ancient Sanskrit language. The root of রাজা is a verb which denotes something like "to exist". In Kingdom, only the kings existed, and in liberty, everybody exists. Tagore once composed a Bangla song with such lyric as "We all are kings in the kingdom of our king, otherwise how could we exchange with the king" etc. Interesting, no?
