Hmm… to be honest I don’t want a single ID linking me to every online service I use.
Anyway, I’d rather use platforms where musicians get paid. Tidal may pay more than Spotify but the splits are still pretty lousy.

Yeah that's really cool but I was unsure what the actual feature was here. Is it that you can authenticate using your nostr keypair to get full playback on embedded songs instead of just a preview?
I'm not sure we have that information. It prompts NIP-07 login but nothing else yet.
But that is what I assume is happening?
Seems like you can link your npub in your Tidal account page and if you authenticate on the embeds, they know which account you have and lets you listen to the whole song is my impression.
It will be surprising if it doesn't use nostr. I expected jack to add nostr to Tidal in exactly this way and was really looking forward to it, now my(our) dream is becoming a reality.

Am trying to think of the use case here ...
Easier song sharing on Nostr? (Honestly, not a major pain point IMO)
Ability to login and sign up via Nostr? (I already use an anon email address but still doxxed because there are no lightning payments 😥)
In app zapping and messaging/interaction with artists via their web of trust verified npub? (This seems new and big!)
One more use case: universal standard for porting playlists etc., although not sure I'd prirotise this as a Tidal PM since it requires other music players to support nostr, and is probably net negative for retention.
