Our Desert Chore Coat - it’s taken me years, but finally found the right people and figured out how to make these at scale in Arizona, and the quality great, and only getting better.
Great looking jacket; model is not tall enough for it. Looks 2inch too long in total length and in the sleeve. The bunching up when he poses with hands in pocket is inasthetic.
Prob true, though I'm guessing a lot of us could use these types of fashion tips. I'm getting pretty old at this point, and still figuring out some very obvious things. Like today I'm wearing a t-shirt that has a too-wide collar. I never really pay attention to these things, I just liked the color of it, but saw myself in the mirror at a restaurant earlier and I felt like the shirt was collar was some sort of Décolleté (I had to look that up, don't get any ideas)
Yeah, only got one, and he doesn't live very close. Problem with him is he's over the top in his personal style, so it doesn't really translate to advice I can use.
And yes, I got the joke lol
It’s supposed to sit a little longer, unlike a classic denim jacket for example.
It’s also a raw / unwashed canvas. Like many heavy materials, it will bunch up, and ultimately create creases and a cool patina (again similar to raw denim). But not everyone likes that look, and that’s cool too! We’re not making this for everyone.
So the fabric here is a raw unwashed heavy canvas. Similar in feel / performance to raw denim. It’s rigid, and stiff at first. As he breaks it in, it’s going to develop a bunch of cool unique lines and fades, and character. Some guys love this - others don’t. Totally get it. Some guys like stretchy polyester shirts, others like cotton. It’s all personal preference.
We’ll be making it in lighter weight, drapier fabrics as well.
These pieces are also supposed to sit a little longer (again not for everyone). But layered over a tee shirt or tank, that sits closer at the hips, it looks great. They’ll shrink a little in the length over time if you wash it as well.
