Contrary to popular belief marriage is awesome and very satisfying and fulfilling.
If your algo or surroundings are convincing you otherwise just know that there are very happy couples out there and they are living amazing lives together.
They don’t often talk about it as loudly as those who are miserable though because they know it’s rare and needs to be protected from the envious eyes of the world.
But if you look you will start to see it everywhere.
Most women are not dumb sluts and most men are not cheating assholes.
There’s a lot of really good people out there.
You can find yours if you’re willing to look and put in the effort it takes to sustain a life with someone who wants the same things as you.

Not married. But in a realtionship for 24 years now. We met whem we where 16.
Still together. Still strong. Still loving.
What i find weird is how many marriages only hold one Eary even though they have been together unmarried for years. Just as if the marriage woild change their minds. Not soeaking about any particular gender but thats what i wonder about. I dont know if this contract (at least in germany it is a real cintract) suddenly changes a person. Not a native speaker so maybe you wont understand what i mean.
This is why I wrote the book, "How to prepare yourself for marriage: the practical and Christian path to meet, date, marry, and stay married to the spouse of your dreams", because too many people don't know what they're doing, and they want to get married bit they're scared of it cause of all the bad marriages they've seen and don't want to repeat!
Marriage is awesome!!!
Indeed. It takes work and a bunch of tradeoffs, but it creates something more than the sum of its parts. Joining lives with the wife was the best decision I ever made.
Big fan of marriage.

I agree!

Even if we talk about it, nobody wants to hear it, as it's so dull. Not enough crazy drama.
Oh, we are happy. Everything is going well. Kids are good. We've gotten more active in the bird watching club and have taken up Nordic walking...

I didn't even know people thought otherwise.
Each to their own, don’t need to be married to be satisfied and fulfilled
Contrary to popular belief, marriage can be difficult, exhausting, and deeply unfulfilling.
If your algo or surroundings are convincing you otherwise, just know that there are very unhappy couples out there and they are living miserable lives together.
They don’t often talk about it as loudly as those who are happy though because they know how much society pressures people to pretend everything is fine.
But if you look, you will start to see it everywhere.
Most women are not perfect partners and most men are not devoted husbands. People can hurt, betray, disappoint, and fail each other.
There are a lot of really unhappy people out there.
You can end up with the wrong person even if you’re willing to look and put in the effort it takes to sustain a life with someone who ultimately doesn’t want the same things as you.
And the truth is, both types of experiences happen. Some people find marriage deeply fulfilling and build amazing lives together, while others experience disappointment, loneliness, betrayal, or misery. Neither experience is universal, and neither should be treated as the only reality.
Whilst I completely agree I’d just like to raise the questions of defining marriage? Because the state or church says so? I call my wife, my wife and we have the bond and family we constructed together.
It’s still a beautiful thing to recognize this in the way that suits you. What I want to emphasize is that the bond comes and is constructed from within.
Build your tribe. Have 8+ kids.
A strong huge family. 💪
What you’re describing is the popular belief though
Having a family is such a wonderful feeling and I hope I’ll be lucky enough to find my future family & unconditional love and trust.

It is, in different parts of the world.
Marriage is the ultimate goal.
Marriage is the foundation of society.
Marriage is the bridge between humanity that’s thriving and pure human extinction.
Yes, marriage is a different relationship than cohabitation. Contracts matter. They change things.
Also know couples that fell apart after marrying. So odd to me, but 🤷♀
Glad you’re saying this. I’m in an incredible relationship, about 8 years now.
I also know many wonderful humans from both sexes who take full responsibility for themselves and their experience of life, which I believe is the prerequisite for a healthy relationship.
That paired with the ability and desire to repair in good faith when things get a little messy, really builds a solid foundation.
What a bullshit. As if LOVE (a feeling) needs facts and an etatist framework.
Id rather cohabitate then subjugate my love to the state and its frameworks.
