upgraded by bitcoin core full node to a 4TB drive. should last a bit longer...

I use linux (nixos) with bitcoind running as a systemd service. if I need the gui I shut down the service and open qt. I run core-lightning next to it as well (I was one of the first 5 nodes on lightning mainnet, and that same node is still running). I probably have the oldest running lightning node.
probably not that useful to have on these days, most people just use mempool.space for that. I like it for querying random txids and doing stuff locally.

When upgrading, do you have to resyncand download all the chain again or is there a quicker way? I am limited on data access and I want to do the same thing. Thanks.
if you run your own instance of mempool, it requires bitcoin core and electrs as dependencies. Once running your ow instance, you dont have visit the website and just use mempool space locally on your own node. If turning of txindex will disrupt this, ill just get a new 4TB NVME
$380 for 4TB 2.5" SSD . . Not cheap. That's what I need now for my KODI media center and all it's movies. That's $760 w/a backup. Not cheap. Found a couple used 4TB spinners for $35 each. That'll have to do for now.
