Thanks for the support, everyone! You’ve really had my back these past few days. I received around 200k sats recently, and only now is this account starting to get some decent engagement. I’ve been on Nostr for 9 months and have received a total of 254k sats so far. I’ve talked about the platform with folks in my Discord group, but many of them still feel that monetization here isn’t worth it. And I get it — most of them are making around $1000 a week on X. Even so, I’m sticking with it and continuing to create here on Nostr. I’m confident that mass adoption is just around the corner — especially when censorship ramps up or when Bitcoin hits a new ATH. So yeah… we keep building!

It’s going to be less than it is now — I’m absolutely sure of that. I’ll probably stack fewer sats moving forward. Maybe in fiat terms it’ll go up, but in sats, it’ll always trend downward. That’s why I’m really grateful I managed to stack 100k here on Nostr. You guys helped me hit six figures, seriously! And now that I’m diving deeper into Bitcoin and starting to use it as my unit of account, everything is starting to make a lot more sense… there’s just so much to take in.
would be great if we could reach these numbers on nostr as well. hopefully we don't have to bleed our selves to near death so people can open their wallets . 🫂
Engagement equals attention — and attention translates to monetization. Most social media platforms favor content related to geopolitics, wars, and similar topics. Their algorithms actively boost this kind of content because they know it sparks more discussion, which keeps users on the platform longer. This increases user retention and, in turn, the platform’s revenue. « Les mauvaises nouvelles se propagent vite »
On YouTube, it’s also possible to earn that amount, but it takes more effort to build your audience. Other platforms make it easier because their algorithms tend to boost content more aggressively, while YouTube’s algorithm focuses on long-term growth and is more stable.
Nostr should be swarming with activists and journalists, people who normally do not profit from their work, those are people that will really thrive here and help shift the paradigm. Along with niche content creators that don't see monetisation on other platforms because they just can't get enough followers or whatever is required for whichever platform. Gotta get those people onto nostr. If they're already making money on X or tiktok or YouTube or whatever nostr is not going to be their priority
In reality, these guys are already making good money. What they really struggle with is censorship — but even then, they keep adjusting their tone and never let go of the spotlight. Fame is powerful… it must be amazing to be famous: people always wanting to treat you to lunch, do you favors, and so on.

One of the few I’ve zapped. I’ll zap him again. THAT’S what quality content looks like that’s worth zapping for. Him and @Implausible Deniability Not some hot-take from a fellow pleb or a shit-post meme. People are so worried about the v4v economy that they’re demanding we all zap every bit of trash that comes along - thats fiat thinking.
"Yo, for real! If zapping ain't in the game plan, what’s the move then? 🤔💥 #OpenSats"
