Building alone doesn't get you zaps.
If you are a socially awkward introvert who has an issue with sharing anything on social media, you won't get zaps no matter how good you are at building whatever you are building.
On the other hand, if you are a big extrovert and get the feel of the community, you get tons of zaps for shitposting alone.
I don't mean building or creating in the traditional sense. I mean build your community, stack, family, content, anything. And then talk about what you built. Creating anything goes very far on Nostr. Most people here understand value for value and appreciate Proof of Work.
Then talk about your failures in detail. A nice post mortem is zap worthy.
Also, say GM.
On nostr, I'm a chef, a photographer, an artist, a memer, an educator, a product tester, a gardener, a philosopher, a comedian, a dev, and a part-time therapist (thanks @tanel 😂)
I've been generously zapped for all those things... but really I just do stuff & talk to people.

Ah, I'm am android person. I think you can use their wallet with burner credentials but I'm not 100% sure. @Derek Ross would definitely know better than me on that one. 😊
Primal is, IMO, trash. I can't help you much since you're an iSlave. (I'm sort of joking. A de-googled android phone is the best option these days if you care about any sort of privacy online, but, you do have to do a bunch of work to make that happen.)
You can use a bunch of lightning wallets without KYC. You'll have to earn sats or transfer sats to that wallet to start zapping. Primal muddles this tremendously.

But basically yes.
All you need to do is build or create something **OF VALUE**.
Dog shit on nostr is still dog shit.
You can give Primal's wallet bogus information. It 100% works with it. There is not a guarantee that it will work forever though using bogus information.
Primal uses Strike's backend and that makes to KYC to use the built in wallet, but no other solution is point and click easy for sending and receiving Zaps. Cashu wallets are medium acceptable here, I guess, if you use Zeus or Phoenix as your wallet and constantly loop out to Lightning.
