They can still cross reference. One slip up and they have a good guess who you are. It's another reason why I stopped making on chain tx on BTC without first touching Monero.
This is good news for Nostr: if before you were afraid that having a single npub instead of unrelated accounts on different platforms would make it easier to link all your activity across different environments now you're not losing anything anymore. At the same time, if you have important information to share only on Nostr you can do it using a different account each time, making the life of people who want to track you at least harder.
If it's so good at correlating, maybe somebody can leverage it for reputation recovery after key compromises, too? (That would also be good for Nostr, but in way that makes me cringe😅)
I guess one could also probably use an LLM to copy the style of someone else and create false positives. Which is also good for Nostr.
Yeah, I mentioned this a while back. They can even tell who you are by the way you type the keys and mouse around, or connect you with transactions happening elsewhere.
