Don’t hate us. I want to be free. I aspire to Linux, but the switch intimidates me bigly.

Start small with getting used to things like libre office. The biggest thing to get used to, for me so far, is that it's not called windows or ios.
Linux is really good these days it feels almost like windows minus a few things (depending what programs you need most)
Mint is pretty reliable and easy to use these days I hear
All of those, but Linux as my main.
Jump in, the water’s warm.
I get AI to fix and configure my Linux box now.
I used to spend hours working out how to do stuff, I just talk to TED my OpenClaw and he logs in and does it for me.
Switched from debian to devuan recently
If you have an older machine, a secondary one, they make a great way to learn. Put Linux on it and then you can learn at your own pace, while still having your main machine to fall back on if necessary.
Bonus is that most Linux distros will perform better than Windows on the same hardware, so your old machine gets a life extension.
Thank you. This sounds possible.
Fewer and fewer. I want to start implementing @GHOST protocols and strive for a streamlined, sovereign, privacy-oriented, hardened system.
"Linux is free if you don't value your time"
Heard on a podcast during my #40hpw (can't remember which one, but it made me laugh) - its less true now that I can ask an AI how to do all the stuff I can't figure out though.

I feel that pain 👥
Np. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I've been using Linux for 20+ years and have helped a couple friends on here get started. These days it is fairly simple for the most part.

Thank you very much.
I switched about 15 years ago and what a beautiful 15 years its been. Felt really weird at first, and I wasn't immediately convinced. But after 6 months with windows and linux dual boot, I took windows off the desktop (basically once I got civ 4 running).
