I disagree. That's when some interesting work can be created.
We build in survival all the time! First, you chop some wood and make a wood pick axe. ⛏️ then mine some stone and upgrade to stone axe and stone pickaxe ⛏️ and from there its off to the races to make your first house to keep the zombies 🧟‍♀️ out
As a creator I can definitely create some of my best work in survival mode. But I create my most refined work at leisure for sure 😎

Matthew 4:3-4 KJV And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. 4. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God...

How about this:/lots of creative outcomes come from harsh circumstances. In a high stress, a mother can find ways how to efficiently juggle 100 tasks. In time pressure, some people deliver extraordinary results. In a very hostile regime, people find excellent tools to circumvent obstacles. Hardship can surely inspire creativity. Ask anyone who grew up in communism. It is the inner light thatpowerss creativity, not so much being chilled out. But when the inner spark is dim, that's a burnout.
